CONTINENTAL HOME FURNISHINGS

We are down here in Okhla Industrial Area Phase-II, specifically at E-47/1. It is a busy spot, always noisy with trucks coming in and out of the narrow lanes. We spend most of our days working with furniture pieces, moving them around the floor and making sure everything looks right before it goes out. Sometimes it gets quite dusty around here, but that is just how Okhla is. The workshop has been at this address for a while now. Most mornings start with a quick tea from the stall nearby before we open up the big shutters. You can hear saws and hammers going from about nine in the morning until we wrap up in the evening. There is usually a lot of wood and fabric lying around because we handle a bit of everything for the home. People come by and ask for all sorts of things, and we try to get it done without too much fuss. It is not a fancy showroom like the ones you see in the malls, but it is where the real work happens. We have a small team here who knows their way around a screwdriver and a stapler. We just keep our heads down and focus on the furniture. The building is a bit old, but it stays cool enough in the summer if we keep the fans going. It is just a regular day-to-day operation here at Continental Home Furnishings, nothing more than that.
