Being located in a basement at D-642 in Chittaranjan Park gives our workspace a different feel than a typical office. It stays a bit cooler down here when the Delhi heat gets really bad in the summer months. We deal with earth products, which means we are often surrounded by samples and heavy bags that need to be moved around. CR Park is a nice residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the commercial hubs, which we appreciate. The stairs down to the office are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying supplies in. We have a small team here at Earth Products India and we mostly focus on the logistical side of things from this location. There are shelves lined with various materials we work with, and the lighting is what you’d expect for a basement setup. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lot of glass and chrome. We use old wooden desks and the filing cabinets are getting a bit full. Most of our day is spent dealing with suppliers and making sure the inventory is tracked right. It’s practical work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We take our tea breaks outside to get some sunlight and see what’s happening on the street. It’s a steady pace of work and we just focus on the task at hand without any fuss or complicated corporate procedures.
