Akhil Fashions

Down in Chirag Delhi, things can get a bit cramped, but that’s where you’ll find Akhil Fashions. Our address is T-456 A. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. Most days, the door is open to let a bit of a breeze in because it gets stuffy with all the clothes hanging up. We have racks and racks of different styles. Some are old favorites and some are new things we’re trying out. We don’t have a big marketing team telling us what to do. We just look at what people are buying in the market and go from there. My cousin handles some of the sales, and I stay in the back mostly. It’s a family kind of setup, really. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here at T-456 A. It feels like home to us now. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk in the dark until it comes back on. Those are actually some of the best times we have. People around here know us by name, which is nice. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just like making fashion that regular people can afford and enjoy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We always have a pot of tea ready for anyone who stops by to chat.
