Charak Palika Hospital

Located in Moti Bagh-1 in New Delhi, this hospital has been a fixture for the local community for quite some time. It’s a typical Delhi building, a bit weathered from the sun and the dust. Since it’s right in Moti Bagh, we get a lot of foot traffic from the surrounding houses. It’s a very residential area, so things feel a bit more familiar here than at the bigger city hospitals. Inside, the waiting area is quite large, but it often feels small when the morning crowd arrives. The benches are made of hard wood and have been there for a long time. We have a lot of windows, but they are usually covered to keep the heat out during the peak of summer. The staff is mostly local, and you can hear them talking about neighborhood news during their breaks. It’s not a polished corporate office. The floors are worn down in the center from all the feet walking over them over the years. We keep the medicine cabinets stocked and the registration desk busy. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when the building is full, so we open the doors to get a breeze. It’s just a straightforward place where we do our jobs without much fuss. People come in, get their check-ups, and head back out to their homes in the colony. It’s just how the days go here, steady and predictable for everyone.
