Chandra Shekhar Photography

Chandra Shekhar Photography is tucked away in the basement of G-121 in Saket. Being in a basement has its ups and downs. It stays much cooler in the summer, which is great when the heat is bad, but we do not get much natural light unless we head upstairs for a break. We have filled the space with all sorts of photography gear over the years. There are backgrounds leaning against the walls and boxes of old prints that we really should organize one day. It is a bit of a maze down here, but it works for what we do. Saket is a busy area, but once you step down into our studio, it gets pretty quiet. We spend most of our time editing or setting up for the next project. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows to see the sun going down. It is just how it goes. We are not trying to be the most famous photographers in the city; we just like taking pictures and making sure they look decent. We have had all sorts of people walk through that door. Some know exactly what they want, and others are a bit lost, so we just talk it through together. We have got a kettle for tea and a couple of mismatched chairs for anyone who drops by. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in this part of town. (255 words)
