Chabra Auto Spare Parts

Our shop is at Shop No, 16 in the Indira Market over in Madipur. If you know where the cement godown is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy market, always full of people and quite a bit of dust from the cement bags being moved around nearby. We keep a lot of different spare parts for cars and bikes, mostly the common things people need for their everyday vehicles. The shelves are packed so tight that we often have to use a ladder just to see what’s in the back. It’s got that oily, metal smell you find in every auto shop. We don't have a computer that works right, so we just remember where we put everything on the shelves. It’s just a couple of us here. We spend a lot of time talking about which part goes with which vehicle, but we usually figure it out eventually. It’s a noisy area with all the trucks going to the godown, so you have to speak up to be heard over the engines. We don't do any fancy wrapping or anything like that. You get your part, you pay, and you head out. Sometimes we grab a tea from the stall next door while things are quiet and wait for the next customer. It’s a simple business, just selling the parts people need to keep their engines running. We stay open until the market starts to close up for the night and the lights go down.
