Century Transport Of India

Down on D.B. Gupta Road, we have our office on the first floor at 4/1. Century Transport Of India has been part of the Paharganj scene for a long time. If you know Ne Delhi, you know how hectic it gets around here. Our stairs are a bit narrow and the traffic outside never really stops, but it works for us. We are right in the middle of everything. Most days start with tea and looking at the schedules for the day's trips. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to make sure the goods get loaded and sent off. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the way we do things stays mostly the same. It's a lot of phone calls and checking on drivers to see where they’ve reached. Sometimes things get delayed because of the Delhi traffic, which is just part of the life here. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything. The office has desks, chairs, and some old ledgers. It feels lived in. We know the other shopkeepers around D.B. Gupta Road pretty well. It’s a busy place with a lot of dust and noise, but it's where we belong. We just handle the transport side of things and try to keep everything straight. It's hard work but it keeps us busy from morning till night.
