Our office is at No. A-121 in the DDA Shed area of Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II. If you know Okhla at all, you know it is a place where things actually get made and fixed. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks idling nearby on the street. Came India Automation Solutions Pvt. Ltd. operates out of this shed, and it is a very practical environment for us. The floors are made of concrete, and we have a lot of heavy equipment around because of the automation work we do. It is not the kind of place where you would ever wear a fancy suit to work. We usually have our sleeves rolled up, working on some gate motor or a control panel. The ceiling is high, which helps keep it cool, but it gets quite dusty because of all the nearby workshops in the area. We have a small area partitioned off for the computers and the paperwork, but the main action happens out on the shop floor. Getting here in the morning can be a real hassle with the Okhla traffic, so most of us try to get an early start to avoid the worst of it. There is a guy who comes around with a tea cart around 11:00 AM, and that is when we usually take a short break together. The lighting is bright and functional, designed for work rather than for looks. We have some spare parts stacked in the corners because you never know when a specific bolt will be needed for a job.
