Our workplace is located at Plot No. A-117 in the Okhla Industrial Estate. We are on the second floor of the DDA Sheds. If you know Okhla, you know it’s a maze of industrial units and small factories. It’s always loud with the sound of machinery and trucks passing by. We work with biotech supplies and laboratory equipment. It’s very specific work, and we spend a lot of time dealing with technical specs and scientific instruments. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some desks, a lot of shelves for equipment, and a small area for testing things. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a high-rise downtown. We’ve got a small team that knows the science behind what we sell. Most of our day is spent on the phone or responding to emails from research labs. Getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a struggle because the lanes in the industrial estate are so narrow. We don't have a marketing department or any fancy branding. We just focus on getting the right gear to the researchers who need it. It gets quite warm in the sheds during the summer months, but we have a few fans going and we just get on with the job. It’s a practical environment for a practical business. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now.
