Bhagat & Compony

Our office is at 42 Connaught Place, right in the Municipal Market. If you know Delhi, you know how CP is—always full of people, tourists, and guys trying to sell you things you don't need. We are right opposite the York Hotel, which is a good landmark for people who get lost in the circles. Bhagat & Compony has been in this market for a good while. The building is old, and it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper that you only find in these parts of the city. The windows are a bit small, so we don't get a ton of natural light, but we’ve got plenty of lamps to keep things bright. It’s a busy place to work. You hear the honking from the main road all day long, and the hallways of the municipal market are always filled with the sounds of other businesses doing their thing. We aren't trying to be fancy or anything. We just have our desks, our ledgers, and a lot of tea. The market has changed a lot over the years with new shops coming in, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We know the other shopkeepers around us, and we usually share news over the low walls of the stalls. It’s a very grounded way to work, being right in the heart of the city's old commercial center. It's just a normal day of business for us here.
