It’s a solid building that’s seen a lot of work over the years. Inside the doors of Bentex Control & Switchgear Co., there’s always something going on. Sometimes it’s just the sound of someone tape-sealing boxes or the clatter of tools on a metal table. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us have been around for a long time, so we know where everything is kept, even when the shelves get a bit messy. The mornings are usually the busiest part of the day when we’re checking what needs to go out. The windows look out over the street where there’s always some delivery van or rickshaw blocking the way. We drink a lot of tea here to keep going, especially when the orders pile up. It isn't a showroom; it's a place where work actually happens. The walls have some old calendars and posters, and the floors are concrete. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because it wouldn't make sense for what we do. We just come in, handle the switchgear and control tasks, and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. That's pretty much the daily routine for everyone working here in Naraina. It’s a bit gritty but we are used to it and just keep moving.
