Our business, Balbir Singh & Co, is located at 84/4 WHS in the Kirti Nagar Industrial Area. This part of the city is known for its heavy trade and warehouses, and we have been a part of it for a long time. The building we are in is a standard warehouse structure, nothing too fancy, just big and practical for storing what we need. It’s located in the WHS section, which stands for Warehousing Scheme, so you can imagine it’s full of trucks and people moving goods all day long. The office part of our unit is just a small corner partitioned off from the rest of the warehouse. It’s got a few old desks and some filing cabinets that have been there as long as I can remember. We don’t have a big corporate structure or any of those modern office perks. It’s a very traditional environment where we do our business over the phone or in person with a cup of tea. Balbir Singh started this place years ago, and we just keep following the same simple path he laid out. We don’t feel the need to change things just for the sake of looking modern. We know the people in the other units around 84/4, and we all just look out for each other. It’s a gritty, hard-working neighborhood, and we fit right in. We just focus on our orders and making sure everything is moving as it should. It's a solid way to spend the day.
