Our base of operations is at AKC House, located at E-27 in Defence Colony. It is a quiet residential and commercial mix around here, which makes for a different pace compared to the busier parts of the city. The building itself is sturdy and has been our home for a good length of time. We occupy a space that has been filled with desks, computers, and bookshelves over the years. It feels lived-in. There is no corporate polish here, just the reality of a working office. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that is usually where most of the office gossip happens. The rooms are a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of samples coming in, but we manage to stay organized. Defence Colony is a nice place to walk around during a lunch break if the weather isn't too hot. We know the local vendors nearby who sell snacks and tea. Our daily routine is pretty set. We come in, check the mail, and start working through the tasks that need doing. It is a simple setup for a group of people who have worked together for a long time. We do not spend much on fancy decor because we would rather just focus on the job at hand. It is an honest place to spend the day, and we like the familiarity of AKC House. It is just where we happen to be.
