We've been at Plot B-79 in Mayapuri Phase II for quite a few years now. The industrial area is always loud and dusty, but that’s just how it is here. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy shutters and checking what came in the day before. We deal with automotive parts and such at Babal Automotive Pvt. Ltd. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes the tea stall guy next door brings us over some chai when things get hectic. The shop floor is usually a bit cluttered with crates and metal pieces. We try to keep things organized, but in an industrial plot, stuff just piles up. My brother and I run things mostly, along with a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. Mayapuri is a tough place to work because of the traffic and the heat in the summer months. We don't have a big fancy office, just a desk in the corner where the ledger stays. People come in looking for specific parts, and we try to find what they need in the stacks. It’s honest work. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the guys around here know us by now. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come through the door. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving things around and making sure the inventory matches up. We’re just a regular bunch of guys working in the heart of the industrial zone.
