We've been at F 9/6 here in Shaheen Bagh for a while now. Most people around Jamia Nagar know where we are. It’s usually busy with people coming in for wires, switches, or just asking how to fix a light that won't stop flickering. I spend a lot of my day looking through boxes for specific parts. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty in the shop but that's just how it is when you deal with electrical supplies and hardware. We have everything from simple bulbs to the heavy stuff for bigger construction jobs. It’s a small space, so things are piled up pretty high, but I usually know exactly where everything is kept. People stop by on their way home from work. It’s mostly locals who live in the nearby blocks. I like the neighborhood, even when the traffic outside on the main road gets crazy. We try to keep things simple here. If a fan motor burns out or someone is building a new room in their house, they come see us. It isn't anything fancy or modern. Just a regular shop where we do our work and talk to the neighbors. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of wire and have to wait for the next delivery truck, but that’s normal. I’ve lived around here long enough to know most of the faces. We keep the doors open all through the day. It gets hot in the summer, but we just turn on the fans and manage. Just stop by if you need something.
