Arora & Co.

We are tucked away at 1656, Bhagirath Palace. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s a massive maze of shops and wires. Arora & Co. has been here since before I can remember. We have a P.O. Box too, No. 1612, for the mail that actually makes it through. The shop is small, like most places in Bhagirath Palace. We have stuff stacked up to the ceiling. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. It’s usually loud outside with all the people and the carts moving goods. We don’t really have a polished way of doing things. We just know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Some customers have been coming to us for decades. They know to just walk in and ask for what they need. We don't have a website that works well, and we don't spend money on ads. The lights in here flicker sometimes because the wiring in these old buildings is a bit of a mystery. We just keep a flashlight handy. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and counting items. By the time we close up, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a good spot to be in, right in the middle of all the action.
