Down in Gulab Bagh at A144/1, you’ll find our office. Arnav Facility Management Private Limited has been here for a bit, and we’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a pretty simple setup we have. We spend most of our time coordinating with workers and checking on different sites around the city. Managing a facility means you are always on call for something. One minute you're worrying about the water tanks and the next you're trying to find a replacement for a security guard who didn't show up. It’s constant, but it keeps life interesting. The office is usually quiet in the mornings before the phones start going. When it rains, we have to move fast because that's when the most calls come in about leaks and blocked pipes. We have a few desks and some old chairs that have seen better days, but they work just fine for us. We aren't interested in being some high-rise corporate office. We like being on the ground, literally. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we’ve seen just about every problem a building can have. We just take things one day at a time. If the roof leaks, we find the guy to fix it. If the trash isn't picked up, we make the call. It’s just plain, honest work that needs doing. There isn't much more to it than that, really. It keeps us moving and provides for our families.
