Areva T & D India Ltd.

We are located up on the 14th floor of Devika Towers, which is at 6 Nehru Place. It’s a busy building in a very busy part of town. Being that high up gives us a decent view, but mostly we are just looking at our monitors. Areva T & D India Ltd. is the name on the door. Nehru Place is always a bit chaotic with all the people and the traffic, so getting into the building can take a minute. Our office is a mix of engineers and office staff. There’s always a hum of computers and people discussing power grids and distribution stuff. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a place where the actual planning happens. We have a lot of folders and technical manuals stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes the lift takes forever, which is a bit of a joke among us. We don’t go in for big marketing speeches. We just handle the business of transmission and distribution. It’s a lot of data and coordination. The break room is where most of the actual talking happens, usually over a cup of tea. It’s a professional enough place, but we keep it pretty informal between ourselves. We’ve been in this tower for a while, and the neighborhood has its quirks. We just show up, do the work, and navigate the Nehru Place crowds every evening. It is what it is, and we just keep the projects moving.
