Apka Store

Apka Store is located at B-288 in Phase-1 of the Okhla Industrial Area. If you have ever been to Okhla, you know it is a very busy and crowded place with lots of manufacturing units and warehouses. Our building is a typical industrial structure with a large open area for storage and a small section for our office work. The shelves are packed with all kinds of items, and we are constantly moving things around to make room for new stock. It can get quite dusty because of all the activity on the street outside, where trucks are always passing by. The floors are made of plain concrete and the lighting is just standard industrial strips. We start our day quite early to handle the morning deliveries and get the orders ready for dispatch. There is a lot of physical work involved, like lifting boxes and checking labels. The office area is just a couple of desks with computers where we keep track of all the sales and inventory. It’s not a place for browsing; it’s more of a distribution hub where we focus on getting products in and out quickly. During the summer, it gets very hot inside the warehouse, so we try to keep the fans going as much as possible. We usually get our lunch from the local tiffin services that deliver to the workers in the area. It is a no-nonsense environment where we just focus on the daily grind.
