Our office is tucked away at 65/17 in the A-2 Block of West Sant Nagar. If you know Burari, you know how the streets can be. It is a bit of a maze back here in New Delhi-84. We spend most of our time talking to drivers and checking on where the trucks are. There is always someone coming in for a signature or to drop off a delivery note. The fans are always humming in the background to keep the heat away. We have been in this spot for some time. It is not a shiny glass building, just a practical space where we can get the work done. Transport is a messy business sometimes, with all the logs and the scheduling. We mostly deal with moving goods across different routes. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to actually have a tea in peace. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try to keep the noise down when the big vehicles are around. It is a lot of coordination. You have to keep track of a lot of different things at once. We just focus on the daily tasks. Making sure the loads are ready and the drivers have what they need to get going. It is just us working here every day, trying to keep things moving along the way they should. It is plain work, but it keeps the city going and keeps us busy.
