Our office is over in Jahangir Puri, right at C 1355. It’s a busy part of Delhi, and the noise from the street is something you just get used to after a week or two. We spend most of our time staring at ledgers and computer screens. It isn't the most exciting work for everyone, but it keeps us occupied. The room is filled with the sound of calculators clicking and the hum of the old air conditioner trying its best against the Delhi heat. We have stacks of files everywhere. Some are from years ago, just sitting there because we might need them one day. It gets a bit cramped when a few people come in at once. We don't have a big reception area or anything. Just some chairs shoved against the wall. We try to keep up with all the new rules and forms, which is a bit of a headache sometimes. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or ordered from the stall down the road. We stay late a lot, especially when the deadlines are coming up. You can see the lights on at C 1355 long after the other shops have closed up. It’s just the way things go when you’re handling people’s taxes and books. We do our best to stay on top of it all without losing our minds. It's a lot of numbers and paper, but we handle it together in this small space. No big corporate vibes here, just us working hard.
