Amarjyoti Electricals India is based over at G-7 in Vikas Puri. It’s a straightforward electrical shop where we keep a lot of supplies on the shelves. From wires and switches to different kinds of lighting, we try to keep what people in the neighborhood usually ask for. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. Vikas Puri is a busy residential area, so we get a lot of people stopping in because something in their house stopped working. We aren't big on corporate talk or anything like that. We just talk to folks, hear what they need, and show them what we have in stock. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the traffic go by on the street. Other days, it’s a constant stream of people needing help with their electrical projects. We’ve been at G-7 for quite some time, and the shop has become a bit of a familiar sight for the locals. We do our own inventory and handle the cleaning ourselves, so it’s a very hands-on kind of place. There are no fancy uniforms or scripted greetings here. We just try to be helpful and keep the shelves stocked with the right parts. It’s a modest way to make a living, and we’re quite happy being part of the Vikas Puri community.
