You have to go up the stairs to the first floor at B-177 to find us. Being in Okhla Phase-1 means there is always a lot of movement outside, with people unloading trucks and shouting to be heard over the traffic noise. Our floor is packed with workstations and equipment. We don’t have a lot of extra space, so every corner is used for storing components or finished goods that are ready to go out. The light is okay near the windows, but we use bright lamps over the benches so we can see the small details on the boards. Most of the staff has been together for a while now, so we know each other's habits well. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe the work; we just take the parts and put them where they belong. The soldering irons stay hot all day long, and there’s always a reel of solder sitting on the edge of the table. We get quite a bit of noise from the unit on the ground floor, but you get used to that after a few days. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch if the components arrived late, which happens more often than we’d like. We don’t have a fancy lobby, just a metal door that leads straight into the workspace. It’s practical and it works for us. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the heat.
