If you’ve ever been to Connaught Place, you know how hectic it gets. We are up on the seventh floor of Himalaya House on KG Marg. Taking the elevator up every morning is a bit of a gamble, sometimes it takes forever because the building is so full of offices. Our space at F-77 isn't massive, but it’s where we handle all our trading business. There’s always a lot of paperwork moving across the desks and phones ringing at odd hours. Being in the heart of Delhi means we are close to everything, but the noise from the street carries all the way up here. We spend our time looking at market numbers and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, making sure everything is lined up correctly. The office gets a bit messy with files piling up, even though we try to keep it neat. We usually grab tea from the guy downstairs during our break. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We’re just a group of people trying to make trades work and keeping the clients updated on where their stuff is. Sometimes the internet acts up or a shipment gets delayed, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s just how things work in this kind of business. We stay until the job for the day is done.
