Acrylics (India)

Acrylics (India) is located at 3002/2 in Chuna Mandi, which is part of the Pahar Ganj area. This is one of the busiest parts of the city. The lanes are narrow and there is always something happening. Our shop is filled with sheets of acrylic and various cut pieces. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we have so much stock tucked away in every corner. You have to be careful walking around so you don't bump into anything sharp. The air usually smells a bit like plastic when we are cutting or polishing pieces. We don't have a fancy office with carpets. Our floors are hard and covered in small bits of scrap material by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving heavy sheets or talking to people who wander in from the street. Pahar Ganj has a very specific energy, with all the travelers and local markets nearby. It’s never quiet here. We’ve got an old desk where we keep our ledger and a few pens that barely work. We don't bother with much technology; we prefer to do things the way we always have. It’s a hardworking atmosphere. We don't make big promises or use fancy words to describe ourselves. We just cut the acrylic to the sizes people want and try to keep our space organized enough to work in. The street noise is just part of the background now. It's a real place with real people.
