Accountant Manojkumar

I’m Manojkumar and I run this small accounting spot here in Shakarpur. It’s located in the School Block area, specifically S 228 A. If you know Delhi 92, you know it gets pretty crowded around here. My desk is usually covered in papers and folders. I’ve been sitting in this same chair for a while now, looking out at the street. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a fan spinning on the ceiling and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. Most days, I’m just buried in tax forms and GST filings. People come in with their receipts in plastic bags, and I try to make sense of it all. The traffic outside can get loud, especially during the afternoons when schools let out. I usually have tea around four o'clock from the stall nearby. It’s just me here, handling the books and making sure the numbers add up. I don't really have a big team or a receptionist. If the phone rings, I’m the one picking it up. It’s a basic setup. I like the neighborhood because everything is close by, even if the parking is a nightmare. I’ve lived and worked in this part of Delhi for a long time. It feels like home even when the work gets stressful during March. I just keep the calculator handy and get through the pile on my desk one page at a time. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy from morning till evening. I try to stay organized but sometimes the files just pile up on the floor.
