About Accountant Harshjeet Singh – Accounting, Audit & Taxation in New Delhi
If you look for Gali Number 2 in Laxmi Nagar, you’ll find us at D 31. It’s a busy spot in Delhi, and anyone who knows this area knows it’s packed with offices. I’ve been working as an accountant here for some time now. My office is basically a room filled with ledgers, tax forms, and a calculator that has seen better days. It isn’t a high-rise office building; it’s just a standard space in a crowded street. During tax season, the place gets buried under piles of paper. I spend most of my day sitting at the desk, going through receipts and numbers. The noise from the street outside is constant, with rickshaws and people talking, but I’ve grown used to it. Sometimes clients drop by just to hand over a bag of bills. It’s not a fancy operation. I don't use much software unless I really have to, preferring to keep things straightforward. There is a small window that doesn't let in much light, but it’s enough. I usually have a cup of chai from the shop around the corner around four in the afternoon. It’s a one-man show mostly, though sometimes I have someone help with the filing. It’s just honest work, helping people sort out their money matters so they don't get into trouble with the paperwork. It’s what I do every day and it keeps me quite busy.
