ABILITY ELECTRONICS is our place up on the third floor at U-70 in Laxmi Nagar. We are right behind the metro station in Shakarpur, so you can hear the trains passing by every few minutes. It’s a climb up the stairs, but once you get here, it’s a quiet enough place to work. We have workbenches set up along the windows. Most of what we do involves small electronic parts and checking circuits. It’s the kind of place where you need a good magnifying glass and a steady hand. The shelves are packed with components in those little plastic drawers, all labeled by hand. It’s not the most modern setup, but it works for what we need. We get a lot of people from the neighborhood popping in with questions. Since we are on the third floor, it feels a bit separated from the chaos of the market downstairs. We usually have the radio on in the background, playing whatever is popular. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting things that aren't working right. It’s satisfying when you finally find the one loose connection that was causing the problem. We don't really do much advertising. People just know we are here behind the station. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep up with the repairs and the orders that come through every week. We try to finish up before the evening rush on the metro gets too bad.
