Setting up in Firdaus Nagar has been quite a journey for us. We are right over here at 4/239 near the University Farm in Aligarh. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main city center, but we get a lot of people walking past from the university side. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where we get our daily tasks done. We spend a lot of time sitting at the wooden desks, organizing files and talking to whoever walks through the door. The weather in U.P. can get really hot in the summers, so we usually have the fans running full blast all afternoon. Most of the folks who come by are students or people living nearby who know us by name. We don’t really do much in the way of big announcements or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, make some tea, and start working on whatever is on the list for that day. Sometimes the street gets a bit muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a trek to get to the entrance, but people still find their way to us. It feels good to be part of the local community here in Aligarh. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same with the same old door and the same routine.
