A. J. Styles

Up on the 13th floor of the Vandana Building on 11 Tolstoy Marg, you’ll find A. J. Styles. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens more than we’d like. Being this high up gives us a decent view of the city, but we are usually too busy to look out the window. The office is a mix of fabric samples, sketchbooks, and rolling racks of clothes. It’s not the biggest space, so we have to be careful not to trip over things. We do a lot of the design and coordination work from here. It’s different from a factory floor, but it’s still plenty of hard work. We spend hours on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on production schedules. Sometimes we stay late when a new collection is being finalized. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy departments. It’s just a few of us trying to keep everything organized. We handle the paperwork, the samples, and the client meetings right here in this room. It can get a bit chaotic with all the swatches lying around. We usually grab lunch from the stalls downstairs and eat while we work. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we enjoy the process of seeing a design turn into a real piece of clothing. We just keep plugging away at it day after day.
