Venkatarao Ice Cream Shop

We are located right on the Main Road here in Uyyalavada, at number 97. It’s a small shop that’s been around for a bit. My father started things and now I spend most of my time behind the counter. The street gets quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass displays. People walking by usually stop in for a quick cup or a cone. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just a basic setup with the freezer units and a few chairs out front. Sometimes the power goes out, so we have a generator to keep the ice cream from melting. That’s the biggest worry in this heat. We get our supplies delivered a few times a week. Most folks in the neighborhood know where we are. We don't do much advertising, just the sign above the door. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the evenings when the kids come by after school. We try to keep the flavors everyone likes in stock. The Main Road can get loud with the traffic, but inside it’s okay. We just keep serving whoever walks through the door. It’s a steady job and we like being part of the community here. Nothing fancy, just the shop and the ice cream. We just keep the lights on and the freezers cold for everyone.
