Swagat Retail

Swagat Retail is located at 65-85, Dargamitta, along the Trunk Road. Since we are on such a main road, the sound of trucks and buses is something we hear every single minute of the day. The shop itself is long and narrow. We have metal shelves that we’ve put up ourselves, and they are filled with all sorts of household items. You can find everything from light bulbs and batteries to notebooks and snacks. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but when we get a big delivery, the boxes usually sit in the middle of the aisle for a few hours until we can get to them. The floor is made of old cement that has a few cracks here and there. We have a small billing counter near the door with a metal cash box that we’ve used for years. The lighting isn't the best, so it can be a bit dark in the back corners of the store. We spend a lot of time just standing near the door to catch a bit of a breeze. It is a very normal, local retail spot where we don't put on any acts. We just sell what people ask for and try to keep the place running smoothly despite the heat and the noise from the Trunk Road.
