Our office is situated on Jains Garden Road in Nellore. We are quite close to Indira Bhavan, which is a landmark most people in the city know. This area is usually busy with people moving around. We deal with transport, so our day is mostly about tracking vehicles and talking to drivers. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking ledgers. The office itself is simple. We have a few desks and some cupboards full of old records. It gets hot in Nellore, so the fan is always running on high. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the neighbors know us. We don't have any flashy advertisements out front. People just know where we are when they need something moved. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and usually stay until late evening. There’s always some paperwork that needs finishing or a driver who needs instructions. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the logs and manifests lying around, but we know where everything is. We don't put on an act for anyone. It’s just a group of people working together to keep the trucks or buses running on time. We take our tea breaks together and complain about the traffic on Jains Garden Road just like everyone else does.
