Narayana Medical College Hospital

I’ve been working at Narayana Medical College Hospital for a while now, specifically in the Biomedical Engineering Department over here in Chinta Reddy Palem. It’s a busy corner of the campus. Most days, we’re just making sure the machines are running like they’re supposed to. You’d be surprised how much stuff breaks or needs a quick fix when a hospital is this big. People come and go through the halls all day long. Sometimes the air conditioning in our work area is a bit touch and go, but we get by. We aren’t the doctors you see on the front lines, but we’re the ones making sure the monitors don't blink out when they're needed most. Chinta Reddy Palem is a quiet enough area until you get inside the gates here. Then everything moves fast. We have a lot of tools scattered on our benches and there's always a half-finished cup of tea sitting somewhere. It’s not fancy work, honestly. It’s just keeping things moving. Sometimes a piece of equipment comes in that’s older than I am, and we have to figure out how to keep it going for another year. It keeps us on our toes. The walk from the main gate is a bit long in the heat, but you get used to it. We just do our jobs, fix the gear, and go home when the shift is over.
