Indian Red Cross Society Cancer Hospital

We are located right here on Podalakurroad and it’s a busy stretch of road where most days you can hear the traffic humming outside while we work. The Indian Red Cross Society Cancer Hospital has been around for a bit now and people come here because they need help with some pretty serious stuff. It isn't a fancy place with marble floors or anything like that. It’s just a solid building where we try to get things done. We have doctors and nurses walking the halls all day. Sometimes the waiting area gets a bit crowded especially in the mornings when the sun is coming through the front windows. We don't spend much time on decorations. Most of our focus goes into checking on the patients and making sure the files are in order. The Red Cross name is on the front so folks know where to find us. It’s a long day for everyone here but that’s just how it goes at a hospital like this. We see a lot of families coming through the doors. Some look tired and some are just waiting for news. We try to keep the place clean and quiet enough so people can rest. There’s always someone at the desk to talk to if you need something. The tea stall just down the street is where a lot of the staff go when they finally get a break. It’s just us doing the work every day on Podalakurroad and trying to keep things moving.
