Down at 13/42/367 in the Lemon Market in Gudur, you’ll find the Dcm Shriram Ltd. (Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar). It is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but folks around here just know us as the place in the market. Since we are in the Lemon Market, it is always hectic. There are carts and people everywhere, and the smell of citrus is always in the air outside. Our store is aimed at helping the local farmers get what they need for their crops. We have rows of bags and bottles, and we try to keep things in some kind of order, though it doesn't always stay that way during the planting season. The floor is concrete and usually has some dirt on it from all the boots coming in and out. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys about their land and what the weather is doing to their fields. It’s a practical place. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that push the warm air around. The counter is usually covered in papers and receipts. It is a functional space, nothing more. We open early because farmers don't wait for the sun to be high before they start their chores. It’s just a part of the daily life here in Gudur.
