Arka Industries

You can find Arka Industries at Unit No. 8-45 in Kaligiri Mandal. We are out in the S.P.S.R Nellore District, which is quite a stretch from the main city. The landscape around here is mostly open fields and a few other small industrial units scattered about. We’ve been operating out of this unit for several years now. It’s a functional space, mostly filled with the machinery we need for our daily tasks. The walls are a bit stained from the grease and the dust that blows in from the fields, but we try to keep the actual working areas as tidy as possible. Most of our staff comes from the nearby villages in Kaligiri. They are hardworking people who don't mind the heat or the long hours. We don't have a big corporate structure here. If there’s a problem, we just huddle up and fix it ourselves right there on the floor. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to wait a couple of days for parts to arrive from Nellore, which can be frustrating. But that’s just the way it goes when you’re running an industrial shop in a rural area. We produce what we can and try to keep our overhead low. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we’ve managed to keep the lights on and the machines running for a long time.
