Y S R Ambulance is located on the Main Road, right near the Bollineni Hospital Centre. This part of town is probably one of the busiest places you could find. There is constant noise from the cars and the shops nearby. We keep our ambulance parked where it’s easy to pull out onto the main road quickly. It isn't always easy with the way people park their bikes, but we manage. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we know the local routes very well. We don’t bother with big signs or expensive advertising. People just see the name on the side of the van and come over when they need help. Being near the Bollineni Hospital Centre means we are right in the middle of things. The day-to-day is mostly about waiting and then moving fast when needed. We spend a lot of time cleaning the inside of the ambulance after every trip because the dust from the main road gets into everything. It’s a simple life. We share food and talk about the traffic while we wait for the next call. The rainy season makes things a bit harder because the road gets messy, but we still keep the service going. We aren’t a big company with many branches, just this one spot on the main road where we’ve been for quite a while now. We keep our keys on a hook right by the door always.
