Ambulance - kks Ambulance

We operate the kks Ambulance service from Dargamitta, right across the street from Bollineni Hospital. It’s a strategic spot to be in because we are so close to a major medical facility. My job involves a lot of waiting for the phone to ring, but when it does, things move very fast. We spend our downtime cleaning the interior of the ambulances and making sure all the medical supplies like bandages and oxygen are ready to go. The vehicles are the most important part of what we do, so we have to keep them in good shape. Dargamitta can be a crowded area, so driving through the traffic is always a challenge. We know the shortcuts around the hospital and the best ways to get to the main roads. It’s not a fancy job and there are no regular hours; we just work when we are needed. We don’t have a corporate office or a marketing team. It’s just a group of us who know how to handle these vehicles and help people in an emergency. People are often scared when we arrive, so we just try to stay focused on the task. We don’t make big promises; we just get people to where they need to go. It’s a hard way to make a living sometimes, but it’s necessary for the area. We just take it one call at a time. Every day is different and you never know what to expect.
