We are located out at Survey No.32 on Sondekoppa Main Road. It’s a bit of a drive to get to Jakkasandra Village, but we like being out here. There’s a bit more space than in the middle of the city. We build machines. Big ones. It takes a lot of coordination to get everything lined up. The floor is usually covered in parts and tools. We don’t really do the whole corporate image thing. Most of us wear work boots and get our hands dirty every day. It’s about putting things together so they work like they’re supposed to. The sun hits the workshop pretty hard in the afternoon, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. We talk about the projects over tea. It’s a straightforward environment. No one is trying to impress anyone with big words. We just look at the drawings and start building. Sometimes things don't go perfectly on the first try, so we fix it and move on. That’s how manufacturing goes. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, but that doesn't stop us. We’ve been part of the village area for a while now. People know us by the sound of the loading dock. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a good way to spend the day.
