Kendriya Vidyalaya

Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mhow has a very specific feel to it. We are located at 92, Cunningham Road, right in the middle of the cantonment area. Because it's an army town, everything around us is quite orderly, though the school itself has that usual energy of hundreds of kids. The buildings are older, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep things a bit cooler during the Indore summers. We have a big playground where the grass gets a bit brown when it hasn't rained in a while. Every morning, you see students in their uniforms walking or cycling down Cunningham Road. Many of them are kids of officers or soldiers stationed nearby. We follow the same routine every day. The bell rings, the assembly happens, and then everyone disappears into the classrooms. We have a lot of wooden benches that have been around for decades. The teachers here are used to students moving away when their parents get transferred, so we see a lot of new faces every term. It makes the place feel a bit like a transit camp sometimes, but we try to keep things steady. We don't have many modern frills. It's just blackboards, chalk, and sports gear that has been mended a few times. It’s a solid, dependable place for the community here in Mhow. We just focus on the daily lessons and getting through the syllabus.
