Bhanwarilal Mithaiwala

Our shop is in the Military Cantt Area, specifically at 1077 Choota Bazar. It’s a place with a lot of history. We start our work very early, often while it’s still dark outside, because the sweets need time to be prepared fresh for the day. Bhanwarilal Mithaiwala has been a name around here for generations. The kitchen is the heart of the place, with big iron vats of milk simmering away. It’s a lot of hard work and standing on your feet for hours. The air is always thick with the smell of fried dough and sugar syrup. We serve a lot of the army personnel and their families who live nearby. Choota Bazar is a tight-knit community, and we know most of our customers by name. We don't have a fancy seating area; most people just buy their boxes of sweets and head home. The glass display cases are always a bit foggy from the heat of the fresh batches. We use the same methods that have been passed down to us, not because we are trying to be traditional, but because that’s just how we know how to do it. It’s a busy, sticky, and loud environment, especially during festival times. We just keep our heads down and keep making the same sweets we’ve always made, day after day. It’s not about being fancy; it’s just about doing the job properly for the people who come in.
