Gorakh Marble

Our place is at No. 55 in Venus Colony, right on the Neem Ka Thana Road. We are very close to the local Shiv Mandir, so you can often hear the bells and the sounds of the prayers in the morning and evening. It’s a nice enough area, a bit of a mix between people's homes and small businesses. We’ve been operating Gorakh Marble here for quite a while now. It’s a family-run sort of thing, and we take it one day at a time. We keep our stone out in the front area and in the side yard. It’s not a huge industrial plot like you see in the bigger cities, which makes it a bit more manageable for a small team like ours. People from the colony and the surrounding neighborhoods often stop by to see what we have. We spend a lot of time just talking to the locals who are building their own houses. It’s actually nice to see the stone go into a home just a few streets away. We do all the heavy lifting ourselves most of the time. The work can be very hard on the back, but it’s satisfying to see a nice slab of marble cleaned up and ready to go. We don’t use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell stone and try to be fair with every person who walks through our gate. Usually, there's a pot of tea going in the small room we use for an office.
