Montfort Valley Senior Secondary School

Down in Murickumthotty at Montfort Vihar, you’ll find our school, Montfort Valley Senior Secondary. It sits in a pretty green area which is nice for the students and the staff. We have been here for quite some time now and the place has grown bit by bit over the years. We didn’t start with all these buildings, but we added them as we needed more room for the older students. It’s a Senior Secondary school, so we deal with teenagers who are getting ready for their final exams and whatever comes next. The atmosphere is usually a bit more serious than a primary school, but you still hear plenty of laughing in the halls. We don’t go for anything too fancy. The desks are wooden, the walls have some posters on them, and the bells ring on time every day. Living and working in Murickumthotty means we are used to the local pace of life. We have a decent library that gets used a lot and a small lab for science stuff. Most of our students come from the surrounding villages. We don't spend money on big TV ads or anything like that because everyone already knows we are here. The staff stays busy with grading and lesson planning. It’s just a regular place where work gets done. We try to keep the grounds looking okay, though the weeds are a constant battle in this climate. It’s a solid school for local families. The hallways can get a bit crowded when the bells ring.
