India Motors

Bari Road is usually pretty busy with all the traffic coming through Sarmathura. Our shop, India Motors, sits right there near the bus stand. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the bus stand is, so finding us isn’t much of a problem for folks in Dholpur. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the tools ready for whatever comes in that day. Sometimes it is a quick fix, other times it takes much longer than we thought. That is just how this work goes. We have seen a lot of faces over the years, some regulars who stop by just to say hello and others who are just passing through town. It gets a bit dusty with the road right there, but we don’t mind it much. The tea stall nearby keeps us going when the afternoons get long. We aren't a big fancy place, just a workspace with enough room to get things done. Most of the time, the radio is playing something in the background while we look at engines or sort through parts. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun starts to go down over Bari Road. We try to keep things simple here. No big speeches or anything, just showing up and doing what needs to be done for the people who bring their vehicles to us. It has been like this for a while now.
