Meena Air Cooler & Auto Parts

Our shop is in the Main Bazar at Bheru Chowk in Sumerpur. We are right near the petrol pump, which makes it easy for people to stop by when they are filling up their vehicles. In this part of Rajasthan, it gets incredibly hot, so air coolers are a big part of what we do. We have them lined up outside when the season starts. The other half of our business is auto parts. The shop is usually packed with boxes and metal components. It’s a bit greasy and loud because of the traffic in the bazar. We spend our days helping people find the right part for their cars or fixing up a cooler that’s stopped working. There’s always someone stopping in for a quick part or just to escape the sun for a minute. We don't have a computer system for everything; we still do a lot of things by hand and memory. It’s a family-style environment here. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors. The petrol pump next door brings in a lot of travelers, so we see new faces all the time. It’s a simple life in the bazar. We open early and close when the sun goes down. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to stay busy and help the people who live around Sumerpur and need their machines fixed.
