Our place is located at Samukasahi in the Raj-Ranpur area of Nayagarh. We handle logistics, which basically means we spend our time looking at boxes and maps. It’s a small operation out here in Odisha. We have a yard where the trucks come in and a little office where we keep the logs. It isn't a very big town, so we know most of the drivers and the people who live nearby. The roads can be a bit rough sometimes, especially when the rain starts, and that slows everything down. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to find out where a delivery is or why a truck is running late. It’s a lot of waiting around and then everything happening at once. We don't have any fancy tracking screens or high-tech gear; we just use our notebooks and our phones. The office gets a bit dusty because of all the vehicles moving around outside, but we don't mind it much. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading and unloading when things get busy. Most of the work is just making sure things get from one point to another without getting lost or broken. It’s a steady job and it keeps us moving.
