You can find us at Pradyumna Ku Nayak’s place in Itamati, Nayagarh. It’s a small town vibe here and everyone knows everyone. Our office is a simple room where we handle the pharmaceutical side of things. It’s not a high-tech lab or anything, just a place where we keep the books and manage the distribution. The building is solid and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We have a few wooden desks and some metal cupboards for the documents. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the keyboard clicking and someone talking on their mobile. We get deliveries every few days, and then the place gets a bit chaotic with boxes everywhere. We have to move quickly to get everything sorted and put away. There’s a nice tree outside that gives some shade to the front of the building. We often sit out there for a few minutes during the afternoon slump. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure the medicine gets to where it’s supposed to go. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because it keeps things manageable. If you’re passing through Itamati, you might see us through the window, probably looking at a ledger or drinking some water. We usually close up early on Saturdays.
