Out here in Village Punu Mazara, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Reliance Retail Ltd is set up right here near P.O. Saloh in the Nawanshahr district. It’s quiet mostly, except when the local transport passes by. Being in Punjab, we see a lot of the same people every day. We know the families and the stories around the village. It isn't a high-rise office or a shiny mall. It’s just a practical space for our work. We keep track of the stock and make sure the supplies reach where they need to go. Sometimes the dust from the roads gets inside, and we have to clean up. We don't have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We just write down what we need on a piece of paper and get on with it. The seasons change, the fields look different, but we stay busy here in the district. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't use those corporate phrases because they don't mean much in a village setting. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. It’s a local operation even if the name is big. We take pride in being a reliable spot for the people nearby. There’s no mystery to what we do. We’re just part of the local landscape here. It's a long drive for some, but for the village, we are right where we need to be.
