Punjab International Public School

Punjab International Public School is located way out in Pojewal, which is a quiet corner of Nawanshahr. It is a bit of a drive to get here, but it is nice being away from the noise of the bigger cities. We are an ICSE affiliated school and we have students living right here on campus since it is a residential boarding place. The IIT campus is nearby too, which gives the area a bit of a serious feel. Most of the kids come from different parts of the state. Life here follows a very set routine. The wake-up bell rings early, and then there is breakfast in the big dining hall. The winters in this part of Punjab can get really chilly, so everyone is usually wrapped up in sweaters for the morning assembly. We have plenty of space for the kids to run around and play sports after the classes are over. It is not like those modern schools with air-conditioned everything. We have old-fashioned classrooms and big playgrounds that get dusty in the summer. Managing a boarding school means there is always something happening, even at night. Someone might get a fever or there might be a leak in the dormitory roof. We just fix things as they come up. It is a busy life for the staff, but we have gotten used to the rhythm of Pojewal over the years. We just keep things moving.
